Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
